We’ve been using the CleanLab design for a year without any issues, today I can’t seem to get Pagebuilder to allow editing. We have an HTML block on our http://www.hawthornedirect.com/leadership page with our employees listed in raw HTML. I need to change an employee and I get the spinning wheel icon after clicking the cogs icon.
So, I was trying to find this content in MySQL, to try and do it hard coded in there, but can’t find that record.. maybe you can help there.
Or, could you let me know what I can do to fix Pagebuilder? I just paid for more support today. I do need this ASAP. Is there a new version of the child theme? Pagebuilder?March 25, 2018 at 10:34 am #6029
You cannot modify the content built with PageBuilder directly in the database. All the content from each page is stored into a single cell in one table (wp_postmeta > meta_value). Look for rows that have meta_key=zn_page_builder_els. Those are the rows for which meta_value is the actual content of the pages. You’ll find content that is serialized and easily broken if you can’t serialize it correctly. So even if you do know what you’re doing, perform a backup before any modifications.
It would be better to fix the issue. Here are a few things you can investigate:
– After you click the cogs icon, an ajax call is made to the server. The response of this call may provide details about the issue. You can inspect this call using the Network tab of your browser’s developer tools.
– Does you server’s error log contain any error related to this issue. Look for the logs in your cPanel.
– Temporarily disable all the plugins, clear your browser’s cache and try to perform the edits again.
Can you give me access credentials to your site to investigate this issue?

Ciprian. Please advise, I gave you access 2 days ago to repair. Thanks.March 27, 2018 at 10:44 pm #6037
I’m sorry, but I could not find the credentials. They are not here on this thread. I couldn’t find them in the email either. Where can I find the access credentials? I was expecting them here, on this thread, marked as private reply (so only you and the keymasters can see them).
Thank you for your understanding,

I tried debugging the code in order to find the root cause of the problem, but the generated minified file contains so much code, that when I try to debug it, my browser(s) crashes. 🙁
As a solution, I added this file to the plugin’s ignore list (WP Dashboard > Settings > Fast Velocity Minify > Default Ignore List). I think the performance impact is minimal, because this file is already minified. The PageBuilder editor seems to work fine now.
If you have the time and if you are curious to find the root cause of this problem, you can disable all the plugins except Fast Velocity Minify and re-enable them one-by-one until the editor stops working. If you can’t find the culprit in this way, it means that the problem is in Fast Velocity plugin and its way of minifying the files.
Let me know if I can help you further.
PS: I apologize for the delay caused by the missing post. I think there were multiple posts that got lost and I don’t know why. I didn’t receive the email notifications either. It’s the first time this happens. I suspect that there was a problem at my hosting provider and some things were not saved or a backup restoration was performed without my knowledge.March 28, 2018 at 8:07 pm #6047
Thanks very much Ciprian. We recently had an SEO Consultant request that we speed up the site with by minifying the JS Files in WordPress. This was a new plugin and I’ve switched it off when I need to use Pagebuilder. This is working again and I’m able to use the editor now.March 30, 2018 at 12:58 pm #6050
As I said previously, you don’t really have to disable the plugin in order to use the PageBuilder. Just leave the above mentioned file to the exception list in that plugin.
